The Unilite ATEX-PL1 is a Zone 0 intrinsically safe penlight that can operate in hostile and volatile environments. It has a CREE LED, delivering 65 Lumen for a maximum of 18 hours from 2 x AAA batteries. In order to operate in these Zone 0 environments, the ATEX-PL1 has a safety gas release valve so it can release hydrogen gases and has a safety locking battery compartment, to keep them away from any hazardous substances. Its construction is that of a strong ABS housing and durable rubberised head and body, giving it an industrial body for the task in hand. Thanks to this construction it is also IP67, which gives it resistance to dust and water, being 1m submersible. For convenience, it is operated by an easy push ON/OFF switch and when not in use it can be sheath via the convenient pocket clip.
